{"id":17995,"date":"2025-11-19T06:01:19","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T06:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=17995"},"modified":"2025-11-19T06:03:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T06:03:21","slug":"nigerian-army-brings-free-medical-outreach-to-faskari-strengthens-community-support-in-katsina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=17995","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian Army Brings Free Medical Outreach to Faskari, Strengthens Community Support in Katsina"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nigerian Army has carried out a comprehensive medical outreach for residents of Faskari community in Katsina State, reinforcing its non-kinetic approach in support of <strong>Operation RUWAN KARFE<\/strong>, the ongoing military campaign against bandits in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The outreach, conducted recently in Faskari, provided residents with free medical consultations, health awareness sessions, drug distribution, mosquito nets, and referrals for further treatment. The programme attracted a large turnout from Faskari and neighbouring communities, with many beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the Army\u2019s support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Commander of the Nigerian Army Training Centre (NATRAC), <strong>Major General Abubakar Garba Haruna<\/strong>, said the initiative demonstrates the Army\u2019s recognition that national security goes beyond the battlefield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSecurity is not solely about arms and ammunition; it also involves safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our citizens,\u201d he said. \u201cThis outreach reflects our commitment to peace, stability, and the development of the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further stressed that a healthy population is vital for national growth and commended the people of Faskari for consistently supporting the troops deployed in the area. He urged residents to continue to see the Army not only as a fighting force but also as partners in nation-building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The District Head of Faskari Local Government, <strong>Alhaji Aminu Tukur Usman<\/strong>, thanked the Nigerian Army for the medical intervention and for the sacrifices made by soldiers to protect lives and property. He also offered prayers for their success in ongoing operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The outreach was organised under the supervision of the Public Relations Unit of the Nigerian Army Training Centre, led by <strong>Major Godfrey Anebi Abakpa<\/strong>, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, on 18 November
