{"id":17516,"date":"2025-11-11T08:27:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T08:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=17516"},"modified":"2025-11-11T10:39:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T10:39:07","slug":"nigerias-fire-chief-samuel-olumode-launches-committee-to-strengthen-public-private-partnerships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=17516","title":{"rendered":"NIGERIA&#8217;S FIRE CHIEF, SAMUEL OLUMODE, LAUNCHES COMMITTEE TO STRENGTHEN PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Olumode Adeyemi Samuel, has officially inaugurated a Review Committee on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) at the Service Headquarters in Abuja today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The move follows a directive from the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, issued during the Ministerial Retreat in Suleja in September 2025, urging all agencies under the Ministry to deepen collaboration with the private sector to enhance efficiency and broaden operational impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the CGF, the committee\u2019s mandate is to review all existing partnership arrangements, identify implementation gaps, develop a unified framework for future engagements, and strengthen institutional oversight across all collaborative initiatives of the Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPublic-Private Partnership is central to the growth and success of the Federal Fire Service,\u201d the CGF stated during the inauguration. \u201cIt provides avenues to leverage innovation, funding, and expertise, enabling us to fulfill our mandate more effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further emphasized that the Service is open to credible partnerships both locally and internationally, provided they align with its mission of safeguarding lives and property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CGF Olumode urged individuals, organizations, and development partners to collaborate closely with the Federal Fire Service in promoting fire prevention, safety education, and emergency response capacity across communities.
