The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has reiterated the Corps\u2019 commitment to strengthening collaboration with government and traditional institutions in fostering peace, public safety, and community trust during his operational visit to Ekiti State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon arrival in Ado-Ekiti, the Commandant General was warmly received by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), on behalf of the Executive Governor, His Excellency Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. Discussions focused on enhancing inter-agency cooperation, protecting critical national assets, and deepening the role of communities in intelligence gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Professor Audi expressed appreciation to the Ekiti State Government for its consistent support to the Corps, emphasizing that effective security delivery is built on mutual trust between the people and those entrusted to protect them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSecurity is a shared responsibility. The Corps will continue to strengthen its partnership with state authorities and traditional institutions to
ensure that every Nigerian feels safe, seen, and supported,\u201d the Commandant General said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In continuation of his engagements, Professor Audi paid a royal visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti. The meeting centered on the importance of traditional rulers in promoting community-based security and sustaining peace at the grassroots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti commended the Commandant General for his transformative leadership, describing the NSCDC as a people-oriented security agency that continues to bridge the gap between citizens and law enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit underscored Professor Audi\u2019s belief that true national security is people-driven, rooted in cooperation, trust, and collective vigilance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
