The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Sokoto State Command, under the leadership of Commandant of Corps E.A. Ajayi, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the State Commandant paid a courtesy visit to the Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Musa (psc), at the State Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit, Commandant Ajayi expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended to him and his team. He emphasized the importance of deepening synergy between the two security agencies, particularly in the areas of intelligence gathering and sharing, in order to effectively combat insecurity across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He pledged that under his leadership, the NSCDC will intensify efforts to ensure criminals have no hiding place, stressing that information remains the backbone of any successful operation. He called for robust inter-agency collaboration to identify and flush out criminal elements, thereby building a safer and more stable society for citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Commissioner Ahmed Musa welcomed the visit and affirmed the police command\u2019s readiness to strengthen cooperation with the NSCDC for enhanced security operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commandant Ajayi also drew attention to the persistent challenges of banditry, kidnapping, and insurgency linked to ISWAP and other criminal groups, particularly in frontline local government areas including Sabon-Birni, Tureta, Goronyo, Isa, Rabah, Binji, Silame, Tangaza, and Wurno. These areas, he noted, have been severely impacted by criminal activities and remain under intense pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He assured that the NSCDC, in partnership with the police, will adopt strategic, pragmatic, and holistic approaches to counter insurgency and criminality. According to him, this will involve deploying a systematic and intelligence-driven blueprint, ensuring that all criminal hideouts are dismantled through unified and uncompromising operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
