{"id":1463,"date":"2024-07-12T10:04:14","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T10:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=1463"},"modified":"2024-07-12T10:06:20","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T10:06:20","slug":"nscdc-deploys-1504-operatives-for-adamawa-local-government-polls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psmnigeria.org\/?p=1463","title":{"rendered":"NSCDC Deploys 1,504 Operatives For Adamawa Local Government Polls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,504 officers and men to ensure the safety and security of citizens, electoral officers, and election materials across all polling units of the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The command\u2018s image maker, Nyako Amidu Baba, said the deployment is crucial to ensuring the smooth conduct of Saturday\u2018s council polls in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Baba said the state commandant Mainasara has instructed all personnel to demonstrate utmost professionalism and to collaborate closely with other security agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eThe command has enhanced patrols and intelligence-gathering efforts to facilitate proactive responses. We count on timely and reliable information from the public to promptly address any potential threats to peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the public is informed of temporary restrictions on movement and the closure of public spaces (such as markets, motor parks, and recreation centres) from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with exceptions for essential services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201eWe encourage all citizens to participate in the electoral process responsibly and to carry out their lawful activities
