The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, under the leadership of Commandant CC EA Ajayi, has convened its first State-Level Coordination Meeting with key operators and stakeholders focused on the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting aligns with the directives of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and recent resolutions from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), which emphasize strategic collaboration in securing vital national infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the engagement, discussions centered on fostering synergy among stakeholders, establishing proactive intelligence-sharing frameworks, and developing effective response protocols. Stakeholders were urged to notify the NSCDC within 24 hours of any arrest related to CNAI offences to ensure timely intervention and prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key institutions represented at the meeting included MTN, Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority, the National Orientation Agency, Standard Organisation of Nigeria, KAEDCO, DE-LAW Security, Eaglesview, KABAB, 9Mobile, Harfield, and the National Agency for the Great Green Wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DCC U. Haruna, Head of Intelligence and Investigation, presented a detailed security overview, highlighting the importance of intelligence gathering in identifying vulnerable points and preventing incidents such as vandalism and espionage. DCC S. Gana, Head of CNAI, further outlined strategies to strengthen asset protection and proposed actionable steps to mitigate emerging threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NSCDC reiterated its commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the resilience and security of national infrastructure across Sokoto State and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
