The assailants, said to be heavily armed, opened fire on the security operatives, killing eight on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the fatalities, <strong>four other NSCDC personnel and one civilian<\/strong> sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to reliable sources, the attack happened around <strong>10:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025<\/strong>, along the <strong>Okpella\u2013Agenebode road<\/strong>. One of the Chinese nationals was kidnapped during the assault, while <strong>four others were rescued unharmed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>NSCDC has officially confirmed the incident<\/strong> in a statement issued on Saturday, describing the attack as a tragic loss and promising that efforts are underway to rescue the abducted expatriate and apprehend the culprits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This deadly assault highlights the escalating security threats in industrial zones and the growing risks faced by security personnel and
