According to a statement issued by her media aide, <strong>Busola Kukoyi<\/strong>, the First Lady\u2019s gesture is part of her broader humanitarian outreach to vulnerable Nigerians affected by insecurity and displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing victims and community stakeholders during the visit, Mrs. Tinubu described the situation as heartbreaking and called on traditional rulers, elders, and opinion leaders to take active roles in peacebuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI come here not just as First Lady, but as a mother whose heart bleeds,\u201d she said. \u201cLet this be the last time we gather under such tragic circumstances. Do not allow the serpent to strike again\u2014mend the broken edge. This land must remain the Plateau of peace and tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She appealed to men to protect the women and children in their communities and urged youths to reject violence, embrace reconciliation, and work toward rebuilding social and economic life\u2014including agriculture and local trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plateau State Governor, <strong>Caleb Mutfwang<\/strong>, who received the donation on behalf of the state, pledged transparency and accountability in managing the funds. He assured the First Lady and the people of Plateau that the intervention would directly benefit the victims without interference from political elites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWherever the edge has been broken, we will mend it,\u201d Governor Mutfwang stated. \u201cI take full responsibility to ensure that no elite hijacks this support\u2014it will go to the people it is meant for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event drew attendance from key stakeholders, including <strong>Hajia Nana Shettima<\/strong>, wife of the Vice President; traditional and religious leaders; youth and market associations; and senior officials from security agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mrs. Tinubu\u2019s visit and generous donation mark a significant step toward restoring hope and dignity to the displaced and traumatized
